CREATIVE PLUMBING! (Inspection Photo)

If your drain line is a little short then why not just use the top of the water bottle... HA! Some of the things we see on inspections!

Not up to code, but I'll bet it worked in an emergency!  (and then was long forgotten about??)

Well at least for a while the water bottle wasn't clogging up a landfill :-)

Looks like the perfect answer.  Points for creativity.

Hey John - Classic!  What a creative solution.  Did this end up in your report???

Look a little scary! A creative fix. Makes you want to look at the rest of the house a little closer.

It certainly was creative and resourceful!

Yes Andy, This was definitely in the report. The inspector called this as "not acceptable" and stated in the report that, "the sink drain line has non standard plumbing parts (the top of a plastic bottle) in it and needs to be properly repaired by a licensed plumber".

All it needs is a little duct tape ...
