Look closely where our inspector is pointing and you will see that someone has stuck three wires in one breaker!  This is a fire hazard as it may cause sparking and it can also overload the circuit.

Hi John,

Just a point of clarification here. All though multiple wires connected to one circuit breaker can cause arcing, they can not over load the circuit. If the circuit becomes overloaded the the breaker will trip. Also some breakers can be double lugged and should not be identified as a defect during a home inspection. The breaker in your picture is very clearly a problem and needs to be repaired. Nice catch.
